Juta SAM
WP SAM is a waterproof, self-adhesive bituminous membrane, consisting of self-adhesive SBS polymer-modified bitumen with an upper surface finish of grey co-extruded polyolefin and a lower surface finish of siliconised release paper. WP SAM is used for the waterproofing of underground structures and to prevent the ingress of radon.
WP SAM is utilised for the waterproofing and radon protection of underground structures where harmful ground gases are expected, serving as a self-adhesive accessory to GP®2, GP®4, GP®L, GP®H, and HYDROLOCK membrane systems.
Product Advantages
- Strong chemical resistance.
- Strong resistance to ground gases.
- Long-term durability – performance is guaranteed for the lifetime of the building.
- Compatible with all building materials.
- Manufactured to meet the most up-to-date British Standards and guidance.
Applications
WP SAM is employed for radon and waterproofing applications in underground structures where harmful ground gases are expected. It also serves as a self-adhesive accessory to GP®2, GP®4, GP®L, GP®H, and HYDROLOCK membrane systems.
Installation:
WP SAM should be installed following the product installation guidelines. It is advised not to apply WP SAM in temperatures below 10°C; in colder weather, slightly warming the material can aid adhesion.
All construction must adhere to the Building Regulations, Codes of Practice, and British Standards currently in use during the construction period. It is recommended to consult BS8102:2009 and BS8485:2015 for guidance.
Handling & Storage Instructions
Roll weights can exceed 20 kg (approximately 33 kg per roll), so careful handling and appropriate equipment are necessary for unloading. This product is non-toxic and non-flammable.
WP SAM rolls should be stored horizontally, and pallets should not be stacked. They should be kept in a cool, dry place and shielded from rain, sunlight, heat, and cold before installation. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may make removing the release film more challenging.
