Krytonite™ Swelling Waterstop
Krytonite Swelling Waterstop is a synthetic rubber waterstop that stops water leaks in concrete construction joints by applying swelling pressure.
Compared to bentonite and other competing swelling waterstops, kytonite exhibits superior swelling pressure and performance, effectively stopping water. It works well with both ordinary groundwater and water tainted with sulphate and salt. Krytonite is incredibly resilient and won’t break down over time. It is possible to use it as a single protection waterstop on its own or as a double or triple protection option for building joints when combined with other Krystol Waterstop System components.
How Does its Works?
Krytonite Swelling Waterstop is applied to the dry, clean concrete surface at or near the centre of the construction joint using Krytonite Adhesive. First coat the concrete surface with Krystol Waterstop Treatment, and then put Krytonite on top of the treatment for additional long-term protection of the outboard reinforcing steel. After finishing, cover the Krytonite with concrete to incorporate it into the concrete structure.
